Massachusetts hosts the largest Life Sciences super cluster on the planet: home to hundreds of BioPharma companies, the country’s top 5 NIH-funded research hospitals, multiple world-renowned universities, and dozens of venture capital firms.
This year, at the 2011 BIO International Convention, MassBio, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, and dozens of other public and private organizations, have come together to support and promote The Life Sciences Initiative:A ten year, billion-dollar initiative paving the Road to Revolution in Massachusetts, creating thousands of jobs and securing funding for innovative research and development of new biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics.
